UMA East wins UFSA – DBL Basketball Trophy again!
2nd Runner-up!!

UMA Basketball team won a trophy on July 18, 2008 for being 2nd Runner-up in Division C   in the last UFSA-DBL Championship, which was held in Eastern Province.

In this championship, 37 of the leading basketball teams had participated.  UMA team played nine (9) matches to achieve this position.  Noel Otis of Service department was declared as ‘Best Coach’ in this tournament.

UMA being one of the major sponsors, this championship was named as “UMA Challenge Cup”.

Al Dawah Ramadan Basketball Tournament, East UMA wins 2nd Runner Up Trophy!!

Our UMA basketball team won 2nd runner-up trophy defeating Air Base Jets scoring 65 – 60 in the ICBL (Islamic Community Basketball League), organized by Al-Dawah - Khobar during last Ramadan.

UMA Abha stands tall again!Basketball Champion 2008!!

Once again UMA Abha team won the Regional Basketball Championship and was declared as "2008 Champion".

UMA team won all eleven (11) matches in this championship in which sixteen (16) teams from Abha Region had participated.

On the final day of the championship a big audience witnessed the match in which UMA team defeated the opponent team, Saudi Telecom by three (3) points. 

Now UMA holds in the region 2008 Championship trophy.

UMA again Sponsors UFSA-DBL Championship in Eastern Province!

UMA basketball team had a strong contingent at the UFSA-DBL Championship’s opening ceremony that took place in Al Nahda Sports Club on 10th October ‘2008.

Being Diamond Sponsor, UMA team was given the honor to play in the ' show match’ in the opening ceremony with the previous champion team i.e. “Al Mowasat Stallion”. UMA team won this match defeating the opponent team by scoring 81 – 77 points.

UMA stands as always a sponsor of UFSA-DBL Championship and enjoys unique reputation amongst basketball fans in the Eastern Province. TFC channels and local media always cover this championship’s opening ceremony, which is an added projection of UMA towards its awareness campaign.

A shield was also awarded to UMA team for patronizing UFSA-DBL tournament during the opening ceremony.
